Enterprise Circular Economy & Recycling Policy
1. Circular Economy Mission Statement
Nexly.biz (the “Company”) views environmental waste as an architectural failure. Our mission is to transition toward a "Circular Economy" model where every physical asset—from server blades to user terminals—is designed for reclamation. We aim for "Zero Landfill" operations, ensuring that hazardous substances are neutralized and valuable materials are reintegrated into the industrial stack.
2. Universal Structural Scope
This policy governs the end-of-life management of all electrical and electronic equipment (EEE), batteries, and packaging materials distributed or utilized by Nexly globally. It applies to individual users, corporate offices, and data center nodes.
3. WEEE Alignment & Producer Responsibility
Nexly adheres to the EU WEEE Directive (2012/19/EU) and equivalent global standards regarding "Extended Producer Responsibility" (EPR). We contribute to national recycling schemes that fund the infrastructure for safe electronic waste collection and processing.
4. E-Waste Taxonomy & Hazardous Logic
Electronic waste (E-waste) contains heavy metals (lead, mercury, cadmium) that pose acute environmental risks. Nexly classifies E-waste into specific disposal streams to optimize material recovery (gold, silver, copper) while ensuring that toxic components are processed in specialized thermal chambers.
5. The Crossed-out Wheeled Bin Symbol
Every Nexly hardware artifact carries the "Crossed-out Wheeled Bin" icon. This mandatory symbol indicates that the product must not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste. Users are legally obligated to utilize dedicated collection nodes for these assets.
6. Battery Integrity & Directive 2006/66/EC
Batteries utilized in Nexly peripherals contain chemistry that requires unique segregation. In accordance with Directive 2006/66/EC, batteries must be removed from devices (where safe) and recycled through dedicated battery reclamation units to prevent thermal runaway or soil leaching.
7. Free Institutional Take-Back Scheme
Nexly provides a "Like-for-Like" take-back service. When purchasing a new Nexly terminal or hardware asset, users can return their old equivalent device to us free of charge. We oversee the entire recycling sequence, ensuring your legacy hardware is processed ethically.
8. Device Sanitization & Digital Privacy
Before surrendering a device for recycling, users are responsible for "Forensic Sanitization." Nexly provides in-app tools to securely wipe all local encryption keys and user metadata. Nexly is not liable for data persistence on hardware that has not been properly wiped prior to reclamation.
9. National Collection Grid
We maintain an updated index of local "Civic Amenity Sites" and authorized WEEE collection points. Recycling through these nodes ensures that electronics are handled by certified "Asset Disposition" professionals who prioritize high-fidelity material extraction.
10. Design for Circularity Policy
Nexly’s engineering teams follow "Design for Disassembly" principles. We avoid the use of structural adhesives that prevent material separation and prioritize standardized fasteners, making our hardware easier to dismantle and recycle at the end of its lifecycle.
11. High-Fidelity Material Recovery
We target a minimum 85% material recovery rate for all returned Nexly assets. Recovered precious metals are often reinvested into our internal prototyping cycles, closing the loop on our resource consumption.
12. Ecological Reporting & Transparency
Total tonnage of diverted waste and material recovery yields are published in our "Annual Sustainability Audit." This data provides a metric-driven view of our progress toward "Full Circularity" and absolute ecological integrity.
